In Ancient Greece 1200 B.C., a queen succumbs to the lust of Zeus to bear a son promised to overthrow the tyrannical rule of the king and restore peace to a land in hardship. But this prince, Hercules, knows nothing of his real identity or his destiny. He desires only one thing: the love of Hebe, Princess of Crete, who has been promised to his own brother. When Hercules learns of his greater purpose, he must choose: to flee with his true love or to fulfill his destiny and become the true hero of his time.  Review

A poor effort to portray a powerful story. It feels like the budget didn’t allow for a longer movie (which, in hindsight, is actually a relief) and they decided to shorten every scene just a little bit too much. It’s like a dutiful recount of all the important events, but without the actually storytelling. The acting is quite bad at times, not to mention the dialogue. The music is repetitive enough to be noticed.

On a more positive note, the effects are actually quite good and there are some good moves in the action scenes. Maybe that’s where all the budget went?
